The Very Best of Bert Weedon EMI - UK: 542 42628
no "compact disc" logo but works with Linux cdplay
fantastic lively music. But after a lot of listening most of it sounds the same.

The Ventures - Wild Again

GNP Crescendo - GNPD 2252 - no "compact disc" logo
plays OK with Linux cdplay
It's far from their best stuff; lots of noise and not very musical. Part of the problem is that they do a lot of medleys (that I don't like much) instead of straight pieces.

The Ventures - Driving Guitars

Has logo, works OK.

The Ventures - Walk Don't Run

Has logo, works OK.

The Ventures - Guitar Christmas

Has logo, works OK.
An interesting merger of traditional Christmas music with the dozen of so pop tunes the Ventures play continually.

Dick Dale - Legend of the Surf Guitar

MasterSong - 504822 - plays OK with linux cdplay.
Sounds best as a quiet background noise - a bit dull to listen to.

Dick Dale - King of the Surf Guitar

Rhino - R2 75756
Has logo, works OK and is brilliant music - including "Misirlou", "Hava Nagila" and "One Double One Oh!". It even has a "pipeline" of rare tunefulness.

Urban Surf Kings - Get Instro-Mental

Cinnamon Toast Records - CT022B - has "compact disc" logo
plays OK with Linux cdplay
unusual music grows on you - esp. "Espresso Twist" and "Ray Gun Rampage".

Sousa - details after the post arrives
This is 2 months overdue compared to the predicted delivery date from Musica.
I'm taking this up with their support and I'll have more details later on how this works out. As a sample of 1 out of 1 incompletely fulfilled transactions I say buyer beware.

In contrast I've had only satisfactory dealings with www.raucousrecords.com for instance when parts of an order are delayed they send what is available, charging only for that. The remaining items follow and are charged when they shipped.
