Keep track of your visitors
There are lots of different counters available which allow you to see how many people have visited your site. The more advanced counters also provide more detailed statistics, such as which website referred the visitor to you. One of the following should suit your needs:
- FastCounter displays a small, simple counter. This is the best one if you're just getting started. You could even use it in conjunction with one of the other counters.
- The Counter displays a larger counter, and gives some information about your visitors.
- SiteMeter displays a small logo instead of a counter. It gives access to lots of statistics about your visitors.
- eXTReMe Tracking also displays a logo instead of a counter. It is a good alternative to SiteMeter.

Add a search engine to your site
Most church sites are too small to need this, but you should probably provide a search facility if you have over thirty pages or so. The following work well:
